Our Story
We are a Veteran-Owned Family Flower Farm & Florist that specializes in Specialty Cut Flowers & Bouquets
Located on the border of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake flanked by the magnificent Stumpy Lake, the Motherhood in Blooms garden explodes with seasonal flowers that are grown with love, based in organic and sustainable practices. Our flowers start in the spring with timeless ranunculus, anemones, and narcissus, flow into summer with a glorious array of dahlias, and finish with show-stopping heirloom chrysanthemums, and many more beautiful blooms in between.
A flower farmer & florist, Jordyn founded motherhood in blooms in 2025 rooted in locally grown flowers, thoughtful design, and community connection.
While there are many florists and flower farmers throughout the Hampton Roads area, Motherhood in Blooms is distinguished by its commitment to sourcing 90–95% of its flowers locally. Each stem is intentionally selected from nearby growers, ensuring exceptional freshness, sustainability, and a direct connection to the COMMUNITY.
Beyond local sourcing, the business is built on a mission to uplift women in agriculture. Flowers are prioritized from women-owned and operated farms, with a strong focus on supporting farms where more than half of those women are also mothers—creating a network of creativity, resilience, and shared experience.
Motherhood in Blooms is more than floral design—it is a celebration of motherhood, community, and the art of growing something beautiful together.Motherhood in Blooms came to fruition as the calling we desired as a family, rooted in slowing down, nurturing more quality time, and witnessing the beauty of our hard work, both in parenthood and flower farming.
