There is something incredibly special about watching a small business grow—not all at once, but one bouquet, one customer, and one meaningful partnership at a time.

When Motherhood in Blooms began, my hope was to create something that brought together so many of the things closest to my heart: motherhood, locally grown flowers, thoughtful design, and genuine connection within our community. What started with flowers grown, gathered, and arranged around the rhythms of family life has continued to bloom into something more beautiful than I could have imagined.

Today, I’m so excited to share the newest chapter of that story: Motherhood in Blooms bouquets are now available at Foodies on Shore Drive.

Creating a More Convenient Way to Shop Local Flowers

Until now, many of you have shopped with us at farmers markets, ordered custom arrangements, joined our bouquet subscriptions, or found us through special events and flower bars. Each of those experiences will continue to be an important part of Motherhood in Blooms—but I also wanted to create a more convenient way for you to enjoy locally grown flowers throughout the week.

Our retail launch at Foodies allows you to stop in, shop the available collection, and bring home a fresh bouquet while supporting multiple local businesses at once.

Whether you need a thoughtful gift, something beautiful for your kitchen table, or simply a little color to brighten your week, our Foodies collection makes it easier to choose flowers that were grown and designed close to home.

What Makes Our Bouquets Different

Motherhood in Blooms is committed to sourcing approximately 90–95% of our flowers from farms throughout Hampton Roads whenever the local growing season allows. We are especially passionate about working with woman-owned farms and fellow mothers who are growing beautiful flowers while building businesses and raising families of their own.

That means each bouquet is about more than the flowers you see.

It represents the farmer who planted the seed, the hands that harvested each stem, the season that shaped it, and the local businesses working together to bring it into your home.

Because we design with locally grown and seasonal flowers, the selection at Foodies will naturally change throughout the year. One week may bring armfuls of specialty dahlias in rich, unexpected color palettes. Another may feature airy cosmos, cheerful zinnias, romantic garden roses, or textural ingredients that reflect exactly what is blooming across Hampton Roads.

No two weekly collections will look exactly the same—and that is part of their beauty.

Our Experience at Foodies

Launching our retail bouquets at Foodies has been such an encouraging experience. Seeing our flowers displayed in a neighborhood market, ready to be discovered by both familiar customers and new faces, feels like an important milestone for Motherhood in Blooms.

The response from our community has already meant so much. Every bouquet purchased allows us to continue supporting local flower farms, experimenting with beautiful seasonal color palettes, and creating more opportunities for people to experience flowers grown here in Hampton Roads.

It also gives Motherhood in Blooms room to grow in a way that still honors the reason behind the business. As a mother and business owner, I’m always thinking carefully about how to expand while continuing to protect the time and presence my family needs from me. Retail partnerships like this allow our flowers to remain accessible throughout the week while helping me build the business thoughtfully and sustainably.

Our business is growing, but it is growing with intention.

You can now shop Motherhood in Blooms bouquets and specialty floral arrangements at Foodies on Shore Drive in Virginia Beach.

Selections, sizes, and color palettes will vary based on what is blooming and available from our local farm partners. Bouquets are delivered in limited quantities, so once a weekly collection sells out, additional arrangements may not be available until the following restock.
